This is a book about the History of Russia and the Russian people.

This book does a fairly good job of presenting the broad history of Russia and the Russian people. It is a good starting point for information. It is seemingly unbiased overall.
This book is an easy to read and brief history of Russia. It is perfect for readers wanting an overarching view with minimal detail. The book could be improved with supporting maps.
If you're looking for a detailed history of Russia, look elsewhere -- but be prepared to read a THICK book! This book will give you a relatively quick overview, and will probably take a week or two to read (at several hours per day). Some of the writing could be improved. It reads like a Russian speaker wrote it. Also, no references are given. Enjoyable nonetheless.
I felt it was quite shallow.
I liked how comprehensive it was. It is a very big subject, so one can't expect much depth, but it suited my desire for an overview.
It is funny. The writing is fine. It gives an interesting perspective on the Russian love of Putin and I could feel like I was in Russia with her descriptions. I was disappointed that it really didn't cover more than the last 150 years of Russian history - I was looking for a pre-WWI history. It covered it, but not in depth. I would read more from her - but I think the description should be more accurate (
